Kenya won the toss and elected to bat but their batting toppled in front of accurate and disciplined bowling by Kiwi’s. Hamish Bennet was the pick of the bowling who claimed four wickets. None of the Kenyan batsman seemed confident during their batting innings.
The tail of Kenyan batting quickly wrapped by New Zealand quickies led by Tim Southee and Jacob Oram picking up 3 wickets each. The Kenyan batting just lasted for 23.5 overs setting up target of just 70. Only three Kenyan batsmen entered in to double figure score.
