WELLINGTON - "The worst possible sort of misconduct" by a Kiwi player during an international flight is being probed by New Zealand cricket team management.
A co-passenger of the alleged player on the flight, between Sydney and Dubai, told media the confrontation involved a New Zealand player, recognized as Tim Southee, and a woman he came across on the plane.
The passenger expressed the incident as the worst possible sort of vulgar attitude, media reported. No official statement has yet been issue from NZ Cricket as Cricket chief executive Justin Vaughan was not available to talk to media as he was in a meeting.
The team is heading to India for the World Cup, and has left the plane at Dubai Airport.
