World Cup (March 3): Today's Match Summary and Points Table With Respective Team Standing

MOHALI, India - - Rampant South Africa left nothing behind to crush Netherlands by heavy margin of 231 runs in the Group ‘B’ match here on Thursday. Imran Tahir, regarded as the secret weapon of South African skipper, done well to pick up three wickets with his outstanding leg-spin deliveries. Jacques Kallis and Robin Petersen claimed two wickets each while Dale Steyn and JP Duminy picked up one wicket each. No Dutch batsman played confidently other than Wesley Barresi with his little knock of 44 runs.

Earlier, Netherlands won the toss and invited South Africa to bat succeeded to bowl well in the start but Hashim Amla and AB de Villiers made the day big with their centuries and led their team to 351; which proved too big for minnow in the end.

South Africa is now leading the table with four points in two matches and very healthy net run rate of 2.79, followed by India and England in the Group ‘B’.
