CHITTAGONG – Bangladesh is certainly high in confidence after thrilling upset victory against England to keep alive their quarterfinal hopes in the ongoing World Cup campaign.

Bangali Tigers are set to take on Netherlands Tomorrow (Monday, March 14) and will be looking to improve their run-rate when they tackle winless Netherlands.

Bangladesh, with their shocking victory on Friday against England, are positioned at fifth spot in Group ‘B’ with 4 points and NRR of –1.24 mainly due to their humiliating defeat against West Indies, when they got out for just 58 runs.

For a confirmed quarterfinal entry; Bangladesh would have to beat both the Netherlands and rampant South Africa. But a victory over the Dutch might also take them through if England, which has five points, loses its last match to the West Indies which is scheduled on March 17.

But if the ‘Group of Death’, as it is being described by experts, continues to throw up surprises, Net Run Rate (NRR) would certainly come in to play to decide which teams make it through to the knockout phase.

Here one should not forget another dark horse running for the quarterfinals, Ireland. Although the giant-killers had only one win on their credit right now; but they can turn the tables for any opponent on their day. They had two points after four matches with much better net run-rate than Bangladesh. They still have to play against South Africa and Netherlands on March 15 and March 18 respectively. They had good shows against Bangladesh, India and West Indies and made their opponents fight for the win. So still finger crossed for the outcome of ‘Group of Death’.

Anyway, tomorrow’s match between Bangladesh and Netherlands will start on 08:30 PST (09:30 local time, 03:30 GMT) and will be officiated by Aleem Dar and Rod Tucker, Daryl Harper (third), Enamul Hoque-Moni (fourth), Jeff Crowe (referee).

Both teams will announce final eleven just before the start of the match from the following squads:

Bangladesh (From): Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Junaid Siddique, Raqibul Hasan, Shakib Al Hasan(c), Mushfiqur Rahim(w), Mahmudullah, Naeem Islam, Abdur Razzak, Shafiul Islam, Rubel Hossain, Mohammad Ashraful, Nazmul Hossain, Shahriar Nafees, Suhrawadi Shuvo

Netherlands (From): Eric Szwarczynski, Wesley Barresi(w), Tom Cooper, Ryan ten Doeschate, Alexei Kervezee, Bas Zuiderent, Tom de Grooth, Peter Borren(c), Bradley
