1st Semi-final: Sri Lanka v New Zealand - Weather Report and Live Match Updates/Live Streaming

COLOMBO – The first semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 will be played today (Tue/Mar 29) between co-host Sri Lanka and confident New Zealand at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

WEATHER REPORT: The last quarterfinal was also played three days back on Saturday (March 26) on the same venue between England and Sri Lanka. The weather is almost the same at Colombo as in the Saturday’s quarterfinal.

Mostly sunny weather is predicted today at Colombo in the first part of the match with high temperature hovering between 78°F to 87°F; but evening is expected to be partly cloudy and there’s small expectation of rain too.

In such high temperature will players have to sweat quite a bit as humidity levels are expected to be between 70% to 77%.

As there is 20% prediction of rain in the evening; therefore, match may occasionally be halted in the second innings of the match and D/L method will come to play its part to decide the fate of the teams.

The match will start on 14:00 PST (14:30 local time, 14:30 IST, 09:00 GMT).
