Pakistan Has Tough Test Ahead Today in Presence of Gayle, Roach and Chanderpaul

DHAKA – West Indies determined to give hard fight to rampant Pakistan in the first quarterfinal of the ongoing World Cup at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium, Mirpur.

Their determination get boosted by the presence of Chris Gayle, Kemar Roach and Shivnarine Chanderpaul, all set to return for West Indies' quarter-final clash against Pakistan in Dhaka.

Reportedly, Chris Gayle has improved from an abdominal strain, Kemar Roach is also back on track after a mild infection and Shivnarine Chanderpaul may be given a chance to show his class and form which is on the steeply downfall in this World Cup.

Chirs Gayle got injured after West Indies' third group match against Bangladesh in Dhaka on March 4 and missed out on the Ireland clash in Mohali as a result of that. He returned against England, where he scored a flashy 43 off 21 balls, but then was ruled out of the match against India three days later.

Kemar Roach's injury was not as severe and he has fully recovered. He bowled in the nets on Tuesday. But he will make his way in, most probably, on the cost of Ravi Rampaul who bowled superbly in the last group match against India and picked up 5 wickets for 51 runs. West Indies has to choose from them and if both will play then they would have to cut short their batting strength.

West Indies captain Darren Sammy said, "Ravi had an excellent start for us in his first game. I know we will come up with the best combination to go out and win us the quarter-finals."
