MUMBAI – Pakistan reached quarterfinals of the ICC Cricket World Cup in great style by winning from defending champions. This victory ended the amazing winning streak of Australia in World Cups spread over almost 12 years.
Pakistan topped the Group ‘A’ with 10 points in six matches. They lost only one match against New Zealand in the group stage; but interestingly none of their batsman is in the list of top five high-scoring batsmen in this world cup.
