DHAKA – West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first in the 1st quarterfinal against Pakistan at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium, Mirpur.
Darren Sammy seemed quite excited to win the toss and told about Gayle, Roach and Chanderpaul inclusion replacing Andre Russell and Sulieman Benn. He said they will feel confident to defend the total set by their batsmen.
Shahid Afridi, on the other hand, said it doesn’t matter for them as they have bowled first against Australia and won the match. Boys know the importance of the match and coached have done their job; so very much confident to win. About team he told that Saeed Ajmal will replace Abdul Rehman due to quite a few left-handed batsmen in West Indies team. Shoaib Akhtar is still resting, he added.
