BANGALORE - Irish cricketing hero Kevin O’Brien had hid 27th birthday last night. In India where the cricket is almost a religion, the strangely hairstyled Kevin O’Brien shot to instant prominence after smashing the fastest century of the World Cups against England on Wednesday.

Over the past few days, the Indians emerge to have taken the minnow Irish team to their heart, pulling on green.
Yesterday night, the Pride Hotel in Bangalore, where Kevin's parents Brendan and Camilla are staying, called the whole family to enjoy a festive meal to mark his 27th birthday.
And despite the Irish team's spanking applause, the dinner was "going to be a little laid-back", Kevin said yesterday, his mind strongly on tomorrow's game against India.
Earlier in the day, Kevin’s team-mates and coaching staff had a party with cake and paper hats. Kevin got the chance to relax with his girlfriend, Ruth-Anne Kilty, and got an "inspirational" wall clock as a present from his brother Niall.
