MIRPUR – The annoyed Bangladeshi fans stoned after the West Indies secured a thrashing win over Bangladesh in their World Cup clash today at Mirpur.
Earlier this evening West Indies sailed through an easy victory over Bangladesh by a huge margin of nine wickets.
The angry fans that were desperate after a poor show by their team showed their anger later, flinging different items at the bus as it made its way back to the team hotel.
Philip Spooner, the media manager of West Indies, told that they had left the ground and were heading towards their hotel when the incident happened and a couple of stones scratched against the bus windows.
He further said, “Two windows were cracked, but not shattered. We are now back at the hotel, both teams are back at the hotel and are safe.”
