NEW DELHI - Reportedly, Virender Sehwag has to rush New Delhi on Monday for a thorough check up by his personal physician. His inclusion in the Sunday’s encounter against England was in doubt because of the rib injury caused during the practice session on last Friday.
Ranjib Biswal, Indian team manager, confirmed the reports telling that Sehwag was allowed to leave because of the one week long gap between their last match on Feb. 27 against England and the next match against Ireland on March 6.
“He is going to see a personal physician and is expected on Wednesday,” Biswal said. “There is no major concern as such; he just doesn't want to take a chance.”
No practice session is scheduled for Indian team until Wednesday morning; the first of four shifts leading up to next Sunday.
