COLOMBO, March 1 – Kenya has decided to bat first after winning the toss in today’s encounter against Sri Lanka. It’s an important encounter for Sri Lanka after their loss against Pakistan on Feb. 26. Sri Lanka has to regain their confidence before another big match against defending champion Australia on March 5.
On the other hand; the Kenyan team reached the semifinal of the World Cup 2003 and won a lot of respect. But in 2011 edition after losing first two encounters in an uncomfortable way the Kenyan team has lost all of the respect. They have been bowled out for 69 and 122 to New Zealand and Pakistan respectively and are fast turning out to be an embarrassment to the tournament.
They have to fight back strongly to earn some respect among their fans and cricketing nations.
