Inzimam-ul-Haq, star batsman and former Pakistan skipper, fears that team announcement for ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 without captain might cause the depression in the team. He condemned the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the act and expressed his concern that the fact may split the team members.
He further added that this irresponsible behaviuor by PCB will again root the groupism in the team; while team’s unity is the key for the success of mega event.
Inzi blasted in the reaction as the PCB announced their ICC World Cup squad but has not yet chosen the captain. Right now the team is playing an ODI series in New Zealand in the captaincy of Shahid Afridi.
While several have backed Afridi, many including tainted skipper Salman Butt have favoured Misbah, who is the Test skipper and Afridi's deputy in the limited versions.
