Graeme Smith, South African skipper, has high hopes associated with the new comer spinner Imran Tahir in the upcoming mega event, ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, starting from February 19 in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Smith believes that Pakistan-born leg-spinner will prove his selection up to the merit and threat the rival teams as “secret weapon’. Tahir was consciously not provided the chance in the recently concluded series against India to keep this weapon unexposed.
Being a Pakistani-origin Imran Tahir, who emerged with some wonderful performances in local games, is also familiar with the sub-continental pitches.
