New Delhi, India - ICC’s deadline was ending today (midnight, January 30) for announcing the alternate venue for the India-England world cup match, initially scheduled to be played at Eden Garden Kolkata, which was later discarded by ICC on account of insufficient preparations.
It is now reported that BCCI has sent its recommendations for Bangalore's M. Chinnaswamy Stadium as an alternative venue for next month's World Cup Group B match against England, a leading official said on Sunday.
BCCI secretary N. Srinivasan said in his statement, "The BCCI has recommended Bangalore as an alternative venue (for the Feb. 27 match)."
