ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 - - Black Caps 15-men Squad Announced by New Zealand Includes Three Spinners

The Black Caps' 15-man squad for the Cricket World Cup starting next month has been announced.

The squad includes three spin bowlers in Daniel Vettori, Nathan McCullum and Luke Woodcock along with young paceman Hamish Bennett.

The squad is:

2.        Hamish Bennett,

3.        James Franklin,

4.        Martin Guptill

5.        Jamie How,

6.        Brendon McCullum,

7.        Nathan McCullum,

8.        Kyle Mills,

9.        Jacob Oram

10.           Jesse Ryder,

11.           Tim Southee,

12.           Scott Styris,

13.           Ross Taylor,

14.           Kane Williamson,

15.           Luke Woodcock.

In a surprising move selector Mark Greatbatch said in a press conference at the Basin Reserve that Jamie How will be the backup wicketkeeper.

The World Cup, hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, starts on February 19.

The Black Caps play Kenya in their opening match in Chennai the next day.

New Zealand are in the same group as Australia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Canada and Kenya.
