Pakistan Has Sufficient Talent to Lift the World Cup Title: Inzimam-ul-Haq

KARACHI, Feb 20: Inzamam-ul-Haq, legendary batsman and former Pakistan captain, has said that the ICC ban on Salman Butt, Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Aamir would not distress the national team, and guessed that they still have sufficient talent to be successful in the Cricket World Cup 2011.

The trio, named by Inzi, was banned for at least five years earlier this month after they were charged of ‘spot-fixing’ by an ICC tribunal in Doha.

Inzi was talking to a Pakistani news website told that missing Amir and Asif is a big loss but rest of the combination is working well for almost 6-7 months; therefore, they have a good chance to make it big. He further told that if Pakistan beat Australia or Sri Lanka in the event it should not be termed as ‘upset’ as Pakistan is quite capable to defeat any team in the world cup.

Inzi said the experienced pace bowling attack, as well as spin bowling, is capable enough to keep Pakistan in the list of favourites to life the title.
