Indian Premier League (IPL 5) 2012: Updated Points Table (April 18)

BANGALORE, India (Wed, Apr 18) – The day number 14 of ongoing IPL 2012 will be remembered for great chases in the both matches played. The team batting second successfully chased 190 odd runs with some extraordinary hitting by the batsmen.

In the first match; Rajasthan Royals (RR) successfully chased the target of 197 against Deccan Chargers (DC) and won the match by 5 wickets. Brad Hodge (48 off 21) was the hero of last moments for Rajasthan, who had a really flying start courtesy to some excellent batting by skipper Rahul Dravid (42 off 24) and Ajinkya Rahane (44 of 31). Brad Hodge was named man of the match for Rajasthan Royals.

In the second match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Pune Warriors India (PWI); the big man Chris Gayle (81 off 48) played another big innings before AB de Villiers finished the game perfectly to lead his team for one more extraordinary victory. Chris Gayle was named man of the match for his brutal knock studded with 4 boundaries and 8 sixes.

Rajasthan has now stepped up to lead the points table with yet another morale booster victory yesterday followed by Delhi and Pune respectively. Detailed points table is presented above.
