NEW DELHI, India (Wed, Apr 11) – Two matches were played yesterday (Tuesday, April 10) on the seventh day of IPL 2012 and both were proved to be one-sided in the end.

In the first match, Shahrukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) outshone Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in a comprehensive manner and managed to put their first two points on the points table, improving their position from 7th to 5th dropping RCB to seventh spot. Balaji was excellent with his 4-18 and named man of the match.
In the second match, Delhi Daredevils (DD) thrashed defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 8 wickets and more than 6 overs to spare. Kevin Pietersen exhibited his class with the bat and scored unbeaten 43 off 26 balls to help his team getting the target of 111 well before the 20 overs. Morne Morkel was named man of the match for his controlled bowling effort, fetching 4 wickets for him costing just 19 runs.
Delhi (DD improved their position by three steps with this victory, ending on third spot; while Chennai (CSK) dropped down to sixth spot after the defeat. Rajasthan and Pune are still on top of the points table respectively.
