GROS ISLET (St Lucia), April 25: Pakistan romped to victory by 7 wickets in the second one-dayer against the West Indies here on Monday to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.
Opener Ahmed Shahzad led the Pakistan charge with a brilliant 102.
Scores: West Indies 220 all out (50 0vers); Pakistan 223-3 in 48 overs.
Earlier, West Indies opener Lendl Simmons hit a breezy 51 off 48 balls, but Pakistan limited the home team to 220 all out off 50 overs. It was the trio of spinners that did the job for the visitors _ Saeed Ajmal (2-23), Mohammad Hafeez (2-38) and skipper Shahid Afridi (2-41). Left-arm seamer Wahab Riaz chipped in with 2-39.
The hosts lost wickets at regular intervals throughout the innings. The highest partnership was 36 between Marlon Samuels and Dwayne Bravo for the fifth wicket.
