DUBAI, UAE (Jan. 18) – Pakistan will resume first innings today at 42 on the second day of the first test at Dubai Sports Complex, Dubai. Pakistani opener Muhammad Hafeez is batting at 22 and Taufeeq Umar at 18. Pakistan is trailing by 150 runs.

Earlier England had a nightmarish day one after they decided to bat first after winning the toss.
England finished first innings just after the Tea Break in 73rd over on Day 1. Matt Prior remained highest runs getter for England with an unbeaten 70-run innings. Graeme Swann and Eoin Morgan contributed with 34 and 24 respectively. Five English batsmen failed to score in double figure.
Saeed Ajmal wraps up England tail with James Anderson plum LBW claiming his 7th wickets in the innings. Along with Saeed Ajmal’s career best 7-55; Aizaz Cheema, Muhammad Hafeez and Abdur Rehman picked up one wicket each.
