KOCHI - - The 18th match of ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 201) was played on March 18 between Kochi Tuskers and Chennai Super Kings at Nehru Stadium, Kochi, India.
The match was disturbed by frequents rain sessions and D/L method came in to play first time in current IPL to decide the result of the match.
Kochi Tuskers won the toss and invited visitors to bat first. Chennai Super Kings managed to get a fighting total of 131/4 in 17 overs. Suresh Raina played an impressive innings of 50 runs off 40 balls.
Kochi Tuskers achieved the target at the end of 15 over with the help of brilliant innings by their opener Bendon McCuulum. He was named man of the match for his innings of 47 runs off 33 balls. Parthiv Patel has also played a supportive innings of 34 runs off 26 balls.
With this brilliant victory Kochi Tuskers jumped into top four teams in the points table. KKR is still on the top of the table followed by Pune and Mumbai.
