LAHORE, Pakistan (Sat, Mar. 03) – Misbah-ul-Haq has been retained as captain by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday as the new selection committee, under Iqbal Qasim, finalized the ODI squad for the upcoming Asia Cup in Bangladesh.

The team is set to reach Dhaka on March 7 to participate in the 4-nation Asia Cup. Defending champions India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will be the other contenders in the March 11-22 event.
As expected Shoaib Malik and Imran Farhat were axed from the squad while most of the Pak-England series were retained for Asia Cup.
A brief training camp will be set up from March 5 and 6.

Misbahul Haq, Mohammad Hafeez, Nasir Jamshed, Younis Khan, Umar Akmal, Hammad Azam, Asad Shafiq, Shahid Afridi, Azhar Ali, Sarfraz Ahmed, Saeed Ajmal, Abdur Rehman, Umar Gul, Aizaz Cheema, Wahab Riaz.
First time, the Asia Cup was held in 1983 and India has won the title 5 times, while Sri Lanka emerged as winner on four occasions. Pakistan has won the event only once.
