Shahid Afridi Annouces Retirement, Family Sources Denied the News

Shahid Afridi retires after PCB Conflicts
KARACHI – Breaking News: Shahid Afridi announced his retirement from International Cricket today (Monday/May 30).

Former ODI team skipper Shahid Afridi told that he was unable to do with the current Cricket Board; therefore he has decided to retire from International cricket. He further said, “I united the dispersed team and punished for speaking the truth.”

PCB has replaced him as captain after West Indies tour for an alleged conflict with the coach Waqar Younis during the tour.

Afridi's family sources have denied his retirement news and told media that he was worried about the illness of his father and had no intentions to retire up to yesterday.

Reportedly, Afridi's father is seriously sick and is under treatment in United States. He also withdraw himself from Ireland tour due to his father's illness.

PCB Chairman, Ijaz Butt, has termed Afridi’s decision as his personal matter and he don’t want to comment more.

Shahid Afridi has played 325 one-day internationals for Pakistan and made 6695 runs. He has 315 wickets on his credit also.
