RCB gets on top by beating CSK by 8 wickets |
Bangalore, May 22 - - Royal Challengers Bangalore thrashed Chennai Super Kings by eight wickets with 2 overs to spare.
Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and invited visitors to bat first, which later on proved a good decision when top three bowlers of RCB dominated the game with very first ball of the game. Zaheer Khan, Sreenath Aravind and Daniel Vettori picked up two wickets each to restrict Chennai Super Kings on just 128/8 in 20 overs.
Later on, it was all Chris Gayle’s game, especially after Virat Kolhi (31) fell on 80, who smashed unbeaten 75 off just 50 balls and lead Bangalore to top of the points table with this very latest victory. Gayle was named as man of the match for his match winning innings.
RCB will take on the second team on the points table which will be decided after the match being played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians.
