MUMBAI, India (Mon, May 07) – Dwayne Smith was named Man of the Match in the 49^th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2012) yesterday night as Mumbai registered another victory at home soil against defending champions.

Smith played a vital role in 2-wicket win with his unbeaten 9-ball innings in which he scored important 24 runs that helped Mumbai get past the target of 174 on the last ball of the match.

In another match of the day, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) clinched a thriller against Deccan Chargers (DC) by 5 wickets, courtesy to brilliant batting by AB de Villiers. AB hit a stunning 47 runs off just 17 balls as Bangalore came back in extra-ordinary fashion in the last 3 overs to chase down 182 with more than an over to spare.

AB de Villers was named man of the match for his heroics with the bat. Bangalore has improved their position on points table to number 5; while Mumbai is firm on third spot following Delhi Daredevils (DD) and KKR respectively on first and second spot.
