R Rams Beat F Wolves by Four Wickets |
Summary of the first match between Multan Tigers and Karachi Dolphins is already posted here. Now let’s have a look to the second match between Faisalabad Wolves and Rawalpindi Rams in which hosts lost the match by four wickets.
The hosts won the toss and decided to bat first; but their experienced opener Muhammad Hafeez once again failed to deliver and fell on knot, actually second time in the tournament in two matches. Asif Ali, centurion in the first match, also got out very early after contributing jut 14 runs.
Faisalabad Wolves set a target of 140/7. Wolves’ skipper Misbah-ul-Haq top scored with 36 runs off 42 balls. Sohail Tanveer and Raza Hasan took two wickets each for Rawalpindi Rams.
Chasing a modest target; Rawalpindi Rams had a great opening stand with impressive innings by Awais Zia (37) and Naved Malik (55). Although the middle order tumbled after their opening pair departed; but managed to reach the target in 17th overs.
Muhammad Hafeez picked up three wickets for the hosts. Naved Malik was named man of the match for his fiery innings of 55 runs off 30 balls.
