Sialkot Stallions Beat Hydeabad Hawks by 33 Runs
FAISALABAD, Pakistan (June 28) – Two matches were played on Monday (June 27) in the ongoing Faysal Bank Super Eight T-20 Tournament in Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad. 

In the first match Sialkot Stallions beat Hyderabad Hawks by 33 runs with the help of devastating bowling performance by Sarmad Anwar and Abdur Rehman who picked up three and two wickets respectively.

Earlier Hyderabad Hawks won the toss and invited Stallion to bat first. All the top five batsmen contributed effectively to set a big target of 184. Shahid Yousuf top scored with 48; while Mansoor Amjad and former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik contributed with 39 runs each.

Top wicket taker for Hyderabad Hawks, Nasir Awais, picked up two wickets for 32 runs in his 4 overs.

In search of the target of 184, the only resistance came from opening pair of Sharjeel Khan (74) and Azeem Ghumman (32). Other than those two batsmen only Shahid Qambrani (12) reached the double figure score and all team was sent back to pavilion by Sialkot Stallion’s bowlers with 34 runs short of the winning target.

Sarmad Anwar of Sialkot Stallions was named player of the match for his impressive bowling performance.
