| Rahul Dravid dismissed after making 34th test century |
NOTTINGHAM - - India are fighting their hearts out to level the series against England by winning the second test being played at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
First day of the test was totally grabbed by Indian pacers by sending England back to pavilion for just 224. The strong Indian batting line-up teased English bowlers for the most of the second day; but it was Stuart Broad who picked up six wickets with an amazing hat-trick by trapping Indian skipper MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh and Praveen Kumar.
India which was once looking to set a big first innings lead; but with some courageous bowling by Broad they succeeded to take a lead of just 67 runs and got out for 288.
Rahul Dravid (117) scored an artistically knitted century while VVS Laxman (54) and Yuvraj Singh (62) were the other significant contributors.
With the start of the day three the match is balanced again and India has to work very hard for winning the test and levelling the series ultimately.
