Asia Cup Cricekt (Final, March 22) -- Pakistan vs Bangladesh: Online Live Streaming, Highlights and Match Preview

DHAKA, Bangladesh (Thu, Mar. 22) – Spirited Bangladesh will take on Pakistan today in the final showdown of Asia Cup Cricket Tournament 2012, here at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka.

Pak v Ban (Asia Cup Final): Pakistan to run hard for the final victory
Another interesting fact is that the same outfits played the opening match of the tournament on March 11 and after further 11 days they are again in front of each other for the final face-off.

Although the hosts have lost the league match but they fought bravely and forced Pakistan to run hard for the victory. Now Bangladesh have the required momentum in their favor after thrashing India and Sri Lanka consecutively to reach the final and this is really an alarming situation for Pakistan, running a bit low after crushing defeat in the hands of India.

The most of the cricket gurus think that Bangladesh wouldn’t have had the best chance to win any major cricket tournament other than today. Everything seems to be in their favor like home conditions, home crowd, winning momentum and relatively low-confident opposition.

Therefore, it is the best chance for Bangladesh to remove the label of ‘cricket minnows’ and make their presence to be felt as a competitive side on the international cricket arena.

As a day/night fixture; today’s match will start at 14:00 local time, 13:00 PST (08:00 GMT).

Cricket Updates: India out of Asia Cup as the hosts beat Sri Lanka in rain-affected match

DHAKA, Bangladesh (Wed, Mar. 21) – The twists and thrills are never thought to be away from the game of Cricket; but the way its happened in the ongoing Asia Cup, it was never expected.

India out of Asia Cup as the hosts beat Sri Lanka in rain-affected match
In the start, no Cricket pundit gave any weight to the hosts of the tournament except saying they can cause an odd upset. But the way Bangla Tigers progressed during the tournament; it’s really marvelous and looks like an international standard team in the final stages of their glory on the cricket fields.

Bangladesh reached its first Asia Cup final when it cruised past Sri Lanka by five wickets with 17 balls to spare in a rain-affected match yesterday night.

After being beaten in the hard-fought tournament opener against Pakistan; they never looked back rather to overcome their own weaknesses. They beat India in one of the most exciting matches of the tournament till date and then shocked India yet again throwing them out of the tournament by beating Sri Lanka in the last league match yesterday.

It looks like bad luck is continuously chasing India; especially in this tournament in the form of Bangladesh. First they were dragged to the edge of exit door by the courageous and successful run chase by Bangladesh and now they were pushed out of the tournament by the same team.

Now spirited Bangladesh will take on Pakistan in the tournament final tomorrow (Thursday, March 22) with an aim to attain their first glory in the game of cricket.

Cricket lovers are hoping for an exciting final tomorrow.

Sri Lanka v Bangladesh (Asia Cup, March 20) Live Streaming -- Can Bangladesh Shock India Once Again?

DHAKA, Bangladesh (Tue, Mar. 20) – In the final league match of 2012 Asia Cup Cricket Tournament hosts Bangladesh will take on Sri Lanka today (Tuesday, March 20) here at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur.

Sri Lanka v Bangladesh (Asia Cup, March 20) -- Can Bangladesh Shock India Once Again?
Sri Lanka is already out of the tournament losing first two league matches against India and Pakistan; but they have to play for their pride. On the other hand; the thrilling victory of Bangladesh over India on Friday not only prevented the tournament to be meaningless until the final, but it also kept India on the edge even after an exciting win over Pakistan the other day.

According to latest team positions on points table; India is placed on second spot with eight points and Sri Lanka is on the third spot with four, having one match in the pocket. If Bangladesh manages to produce the same cutthroat performance, as they did against India, they can manage to win the match that will throw India out of the contest once again.

Bangladesh just need a victory to qualify for the final of Asia Cup as no question of net run rate (NRR) will arise because Bangladesh have beaten India on the league stages.
The home conditions, home crowd and the master class victory against mighty India will definitely help the hosts to produce another upset of the tournament. Let’s watch, fingers crossed.

Bangladesh Upset India (Latest Points Table) – Analysis: Second Finalist Wide-open

Bangladesh Upset India (Latest Points Table) – Analysis: Second Finalist Wide-open
The hosts of Asia Cup 2012 have certainly avoided the possible elimination from the tournament. Now all three teams except Pakistan, which have already qualified for final, have their chances to qualify for the final on March 22.

Bangladesh victory was certainly proved to be a big shock for India; but it revitalizes the hopes of Sri Lanka to enter into final by beating the hosts in their final league match, scheduled on March 20.

Right now, after upsetting defeat of India; there’s no big change on the points table as Pakistan still on top, followed by India and Bangladesh respectively. Both have four points, but India ahead in terms of NRR.

There are following possibilities in the remaining two league matches which can affect the second finalist to be decided:

·         Pakistan vs India (Sunday, March 18)

o   Pakistan Win: The second finalist will be decided on the basis of better net run rate (NRR); unless the other two contenders, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka wouldn’t get a bonus point.

o   India Win: India will get through to the final with minimum eight points.

·         Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka (Tuesday, March 20)

o   Sri Lanka Win: More probably the second finalist will be decided on the basis of better net run rate (NRR); unless India wouldn’t get a bonus point against Pakistan. Sri Lanka can qualify on its won by getting a bonus point against Bangladesh.

o   Bangladesh Win: The hosts will get through to the final with minimum eight points.

That’s not all; if India and Bangladesh win their respective matches then the better NRR will again come into effect to decide the second finalist between India and Bangladesh.
